Autism in the Classroom
This professional development will be beneficial for anyone working with children in the education environment including childcare, kindergarten, Primary and High Schools. It will also benefit mental health practitioners working collaboratively with schools, children, and adolescents.
Children and adolescents with Autism present differently. This means that some children might be struggling in the classroom but withdraw and their difficulties go unnoticed. This workshop will outline traits and triggers that individuals with autism might present with. Learn how to spot the signs of autism in the educational environment and what strategies can be implemented to reduce behaviors of concern.
